In 2003, Nadine Reid joined Mac Cosmetics and within a year had caught the attention of head office who invited her to launch their newest Mac counter in Paris. Within a short space of time, her expertise and clever use of product lines highlighted her strengths as a trainer, responsible for developing makeup artistry among its stylists across the UK and Scotland.
Over the course of nine years with the brand, she became a regular at London Fashion Week, as well as working with high profile celebrities such as Kanye West, Shakira, Faye Dunaway, Quincey Jones, and The Saturdays. She has also gained incredible insights with world-renowned artists Rick Baker, Topolino and Alex Box, to name just a few.
As an independent freelance makeup artist for a number of years in London, she has worked with the city’s top labels, designers, and advertising and PR agencies. Moving to Paris to develop her portfolio, she extended and developed her creative repertoire for a number of years, commuting between London and Paris.
She has also developed her skills in hair artistry, engaged for hair grooming on shoots and assisting some of the world’s leading hair stylists. She is a specialist with Afro hair, braiding, and working with wigs and extensions.
Having worked on both London and Paris Fashion Week, an opportunity presented itself to work on Dublin’s Fashion Festival which is when she first fell in love with Ireland’s charm. A few years in planning, Nadine relocated to Dublin in February 2016 and is represented by 1st Option Models, Management & Production.
