Tracy Clifford is an award-winning Radio and TV Presenter and is the face and voice of weekday afternoon radio on RTE2FM with her daily 12-3pm slot- which she has been at the helm of for over 6 years. A former Head of News at Spin1038 and columnist with U Magazine, Tracy was also one half of the popular Breakfast Show ‘ Fully Charged’ before moving to national radio in 2015- where she is a major tastemaker and fervent supporter of Irish Music. Fridays on her show are for the old school ravers with her ‘Cliffbangers’ segment, (Banging tunes and the first part of her surname ..get it?!) It’s a firm favourite with her listeners, and she has plans to bring ‘Cliffbangers’ on tour and DJ around the country in 2022. Stormzy, Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Dua Lipa, Dermot Kennedy (to name but a few!) have all been guest on her show in the past while Most recently Tracy has DJ’d at The Three Arena Dublin- opening up for Diana Ross, JLS, Kaleidoscope Festival and Electric Picnic with Three Mobile as well as at her ‘2FM Rising’ Gigs which she brought around the country -hosting and showcasing new and fresh music artists, and she DJ’d at Other Voices Festival In Dingle.
In September 2021 Tracy also presented a very special YouTube and Facebook live stream concert to celebrate Three’s partnership with the Three Olympia Theatre Dublin, with over a quarter of a million views and counting. Telling stories about music is something Tracy is passionate about and she has produced and presented several radio documentaries, most notably about the brilliant Irish Rap scene (Urban Hymns) and the demise of the music shop (The Vinyl Frontier) both of which were winners of an IMRO/ PPI awards This March (2022) Tracy will once again be presenting The RTE Choice Music Prize Awards Live in Vicar St. A former judge of the prize herself, this accolade celebrates the very best in Irish Music and will decide the all-important winner(s) of Album of the Year’. The live show will also be simulcast on RTE2FM and RTE PLAYER and shown on RTE2 at a later date. Tracy is also a regular guest on Virgin Media TV live shows Outside of music and Dj-ing, Tracy is also an MC and over the years has worked with brands such as Lidl, AIB, Vodafone, Paddy Power, and Harmonia Publishing. She has also Dj’d in-store for Kildare Village, Forever 21, drinks brands such as Disaronno, and for AIB initiatives She is also the co-presenter of a podcast called ‘The Love Life’ with Relationship Coach, Annie Lavin – which explores relationships, situation-ships, and dating. After charting at Number 1 in the ‘Education’ Charts and getting top twenty of all podcasts, Season 2 will be coming to streaming platforms very soon!
